Happy Easter!

Warning: If there is such a phase, Lola is in the "I have no desire to look at the camera and if I do look, I refuse to smile" phase. And we have 18 month pictures schedule for next week... Great!

After several days of rainy and cold weather, it ended up being such a nice weekend!

On Saturday, we went to Brian's parents to celebrate Easter and his dad's birthday. Lola had her first Easter egg hunt there. She picked up on it right away and got so excited everytime she found another egg. In her basket from Brian's parents, she got some bubbles, so we all went outside and played with her. She loved being able to make the bubbles and try to catch them.

A side note to the day was our adventure trying to catch the darn Easter Bunny at the mall. We had a few errands to run on Saturday morning, so we planned to hit the mall right at 10:00 when it opened. When we got there, there was already a line and the bunny hadn't even shown up yet. When he did finally arrive, the line went NO WHERE in 10 minutes, so we bailed and decided to come back in the afternoon on our way out of town. We came back at 2:15 and as luck would have it, there was a sign saying he was at lunch and wouldn't be back until 3:00. UGH!! We tracked down the bunny's little helper and asked for his schedule and found out he'd be out from around 7-9. So.....on our way back from Brian's parents, about 8:00, we finally met the bunny. Lola did really well and kept waving to him. She was a little leary when we put her on his lap, but the picture is cute. And after all of that, I don't have a scanner to show you the picture! :(

Leaving her treats for the bunny... what do you leave a bunny?! We don't eat vegetables, so I had to borrow carrots from my mom. And then we thought he might like some Wheat Thins.

On Sunday, Lola loved seeing her gifts from the Easter Bunny. She got books, two balls, a basket for her baby, bubbles, play food (she is always "making us" something for lunch and dinner - she will stir her pots and pans and give us to spoon to taste and then bring us plates and bowls of pretend food, I thought she would enjoy actually having something on those plates), a Tinkerbell beach towel, Cadberry Cream Eggs for her mom and Reeces' Peanut Butter Eggs for her dad!

Believe it or not, this was really the best picture I have of her.

We went to mom and dad's church in Clinton and then a delicious lunch with the whole Korneman bunch. We had another Easter Egg Hunt and again, she was so fun to watch. She kept yelling "Yay!" when she would find another egg.
