Lola wasn't feeling well this weekend, so no pictures, but I do have some new words to share which have been added to her vocabulary and some funny stories.
New words: baby, grandma, duck, cheese, bye, please, up. She is also a very good 'woofer' when she heard a dog and has a great 'meow' when imitating a cat.
Unfortunately, she doesn't repeat words and does not say anything on command. So you just really have to be listening and when you least expect it, a new word will come out.
Funny stories:
She was eating grapes one night at the dinner table and she put two whole grapes in her mouth. Brian said "Lola, be careful or you will choke." Then very dramatically, she did her best to fake a cough until we said "Oh Lola, what a terrible cough you have!"
Brian keeps a coaster by his bed-side table. One morning when we were getting ready for work, she was playing around the room. She went to put her milk cup down, but then ran over to his table, grabbed his coaster and put it down before putting her milk on it. It just amazes me how much she picks up on!
She has started to cover her mouth when she coughs or sneezes. It's so funny! I certainly have not her taught her that yet, but just something else she picks up on.
I've been blowing her kisses since she was an itty baby and just this week, I finally got her to do it back to me. So cute! She puts her hand to her lips, makes a big smooch sound and then throws her hand out.
I'm not overly excited about this one (I'm waiting for this silly phase to be
outdated), but Brian has got Lola to 'fist bump'. Again, not excited about this one, but it is cute.
I have a video of Lola doing the hokie pokie, but I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out how to put it out here yet. Still trying.
